Ophthalmology Publications

Dr. Róbert Gergely’s professional publications as an ophthalmologist appear in the highest-ranked national and international journals. In research, as in patient care, he prioritizes quality over quantity in ophthalmology publications, striving to write original articles and publish them in prestigious venues.

In recognition of this, in 2021 he received an invited nomination for the International Medis Awards Contest medical scientific prize in the field of ophthalmology.

His scientific work also received recognition in 2020, when Semmelweis University ranked one of his articles in the top 5 among thousands of publications on the Outstanding University Publications list. Only publications appearing in journals in the top 2% worldwide or highly cited by other authors can be included in this ranking. This is a particular honor for him, as it is especially rare for an ophthalmology publication to appear on this list.
